About Ultra X England
Trail running across the High Peak takes centre stage at Ultra X England, where competitors tackle ridge lines, moorland and limestone valleys across the Peak District landscape. Taking place on 18 and 19 September 2027, the event offers five distances: 12 km, 25 km, 50 km, 60 km and 110 km. All routes follow trail terrain with a difficulty rating of 3 out of 6 and technicality rating of 3 out of 5. Temperatures typically range from 8 to 18°C.
The 110 km option is available as either a single-stage race or a two-stage format with included campsite accommodation. Runners entering the 110 km single stage, 60 km, 50 km or 25 km can arrange additional camping through a separate pass. The 25 km, 50 km and 110 km distances hold UTMB Index Race status. Registered participants receive detailed race information including timings and cut-offs via email approximately one month before the event.
Competitors completing three specified Ultra X events—England, Scotland and Wales—within 12 months can work towards the Great British Slam recognition, with awards presented at the finish line of their final qualifying race.
