About Ultra X Scotland Saturday
Ultra X Scotland takes place across the Scottish Highlands around Loch Ness, based in and around Inverness, on 1 and 2 May 2027. The two-day trail running event offers multiple distances, including a 16 km option and a 110 km single stage race, catering to runners of varying experience levels. Start locations include Inverness, Dores and Fort Augustus.
The event is indexed in the UTMB World Series across several categories. Course support includes aid stations roughly every 10 km, full course marking, medical cover, GPS tracking and drop bag services at the midpoint. Participants receive a detailed race pack by email about a month before the event. Overnight camping is available at the Birch Cafe base, included with certain entries or available as an add-on. Showers and facilities are provided on Saturday night, and shuttle services run between Inverness and start or finish locations.
