About Valentines Track Run
Organised by YMCA Newark Athletics, this timed track event on Valentine's Day offers runners the freedom to choose their own distance within a seven-hour window. Taking place on the 400-metre track at Newark Sports and Fitness Centre, participants can tackle anything from 3 km up to 50 km, with options including 5 km, 10 km, half marathon and marathon distances.
The flat, repeating laps mean navigation is straightforward, allowing runners to focus on their own pace and goals. Both running and walking are welcome across all abilities. Aid stations positioned at the end of each lap provide water, squash, fizzy drinks and food throughout the event, and all finishers receive Valentine's-themed medals and goody bags.
