About Votwo Atlantic Coast Challenge
The Atlantic Coast Challenge invites participants to tackle a three-day coastal trail across Cornwall's rugged landscape. Taking place over the first weekend of October 2026, the event covers up to 78.6 miles across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with runners, walkers and others welcome to attempt one, two or all three days. The route begins near Padstow and concludes at Lands End, following the South West Coast Path with its characteristic steep climbs and descents.
Event headquarters operate from St Ives Bay Holiday Park, where registration and catering facilities are based. Daily transport shuttles participants between the HQ and each day's start and finish points. Checkpoints spaced roughly every 10 km provide support with food, drinks and selected hot drinks, while GPS trackers are supplied to all participants. The terrain is wild and demands self-navigation, with a compulsory kit list enforced and medical cover provided on course.
