About Wadsworth Trog
The Wadsworth Trog is a fell race established in the South and West Pennines, starting and finishing at Wadsworth Community Centre in Old Town, Hebden Bridge. Runners tackle 19.3 miles of trail with 1110 metres of ascent across the challenging terrain of Calderdale, West Yorkshire.
This is a serious undertaking requiring fell running experience, local knowledge and solid navigation skills. All participants must be at least 18 years old, and a mandatory kit check takes place before the start. The event, which takes place on 6 February 2027, is classified as a Category BL race and permits team entries with prizes for both men's and women's teams. Karl Gray holds the men's course record at 2:27:24 (set in 2015), while Nichola Jackson's women's record stands at 2:51:26 (from 2017).
