About Watergate 5K
Taking place on 20 August 2026, Watergate @ Whitehills 5K is a road race organised by Low Fell Running Club at Whitehills Nature Park in South Lanarkshire. The event features two distances: a 2.5 km junior race and a 5 km senior race. The senior course covers two laps of flat gravel trails around the park, designed to be fast and accessible to runners of varying abilities.
The senior race doubles as the NEMAA 5K Championship and is run under UK Athletics rules with chip timing. A junior race precedes the main event, offering younger runners their own competitive opportunity.
