About Waverley Dash
Waverley Dash takes runners on a 10 km trail route around Waverley Lakes in south east Sheffield, between Handsworth and Treeton. The course is entirely off-road, following trails and fields in a largely flat loop, with the race headquarters positioned at the lakeside. Trail shoes are recommended, particularly if wet conditions have softened the ground.
The event runs on 6 September 2026 and is fully marshalled. Competitors must be at least 16 years old. Prize categories include male and female overall winners, plus age-group prizes for V40, V50, V60 and V70 runners, with additional spot prizes available. Parking is at the AMRC training centre carpark, and bus routes 70, 70a and 73 serve the area.
