About Wellington Monument Race
A 6.3-mile trail race takes runners from Hemyock village into the Devon countryside and up to Wellington Monument on 13 December 2026. The route starts at the Catherine Wheel pub in the village square at 10am, climbing steeply to the Monument before circling it at the halfway point. The terrain includes a mile of firm stone track and a challenging half-mile ascent and descent among the rolling hills that characterise this rural course.
Runners retrace their steps back to the finish at Hemyock Primary School. All finishers receive an award to mark their completion of this undulating, hilly route.
