About West Coast Half Marathon
The West Coast Half Marathon traces a trail route from Preston Docks across Lancashire to Fairhaven Lake, near Lytham St Annes, on 11 October 2026. Runners cover 13.1 miles with water stations positioned at 3, 6 and 9 miles along the course. The race starts at 10am sharp, with bib collection available from 7.30am in Preston or 8.30am in Lytham; a shuttle bus service runs from Fairhaven Lake at 8.45am to transport runners to the start.
The event is capped at 500 runners. Baggage storage is available at the finish, and portable toilets are located at the start, finish and miles 6 and 9. Medical support from Remote Medical Services will be on the course and at the finish line. Participants receive a race bib with pre-attached chip timing and can expect photography coverage throughout the day.
