About Westside Runners 10K & 5K
Westside Runners' 5K and 10K takes runners to Shawbost on the Isle of Lewis for a community-focused day of racing on 19 September 2026. The event welcomes competitors across multiple age groups, including junior races alongside the main adult categories.
The 5K route is a circular road course starting from Shawbost Shinty Pitch, taking in the South Shawbost shoreline and Loch a' Bhaile before finishing at the Old School Community Centre. The 10K follows an out and back road route between Shawbost and Bragar, looping through Bragar village before returning. Both races use quiet roads and feature gently undulating terrain across the Outer Hebrides landscape.
