About Wild Horse 200 - South Wales 200
A 200 mile point-to-point trail race, the South Wales 200 takes runners across demanding terrain from Chepstow to Worm's Head over six days in April. The course is predominantly trail with roughly 30,000 feet of climbing and includes significant road sections, testing endurance across varied landscapes. Runners must reach the 100 mile checkpoint within 55 hours and complete the full distance within the 120 hour limit.
The event is structured around eight aid stations positioned at approximately 25 mile intervals, including three full sleep stations offering warm and cold food, drinks and medical support. Runners can compete uncrewed or with a personal crew, with an organised drop bag system transporting kit to every checkpoint. The race supports various dietary requirements at aid stations, and runners may also use shops along the route.
