About Wild & Mild Night Run
This trail night run ventures through South Brent's moorland terrain, with two course options starting from the Old School Community Centre. The 9-mile route heads uphill alongside the River Avon to Shipley Bridge before crossing onto Dartmoor, passing near Avon Dam and the Abbot's Way, then descending through Brent Hill and Lydia Bridge. The shorter 5-mile course follows the same initial section but branches off at Shipley Bridge onto a hilly cross-terrain path. Both routes are marked, though runners are advised to carry navigation devices with OS maps.
The event takes place on 27 February 2027 and features "King and Queen of the Night" runners as beacons for participants. Post-race, runners can enjoy live music and access to a shared sauna at the community centre, alongside warm food and hot drinks.
