About Wincle Trout
Held as part of the annual Wincle Fete in Macclesfield, this hill running event takes runners through the Dane Valley and Gradbach landscape on a 7-mile trail course. The 2027 edition takes place on Saturday 12 June at Tolls Farm, with the route featuring several river crossings along the way.
As a village fete fixture, the Wincle Trout changes its exact course from year to year depending on which local farm hosts the event. Finishers receive a bottle of beer, with tea and cake available at the fete itself. The event welcomes senior runners, juniors and team entries.
