About Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge
Windsor's landscape of parkland, riverside paths and countryside provides the backdrop for this multi-distance trail event on 17 April 2027. Runners and walkers can choose between 10 km, 25 km or 50 km routes that loop through Windsor Great Park, pass Windsor Castle, reach Runnymede and follow the Thames Path before returning through the surrounding area. The 50 km challenge comprises two different 25 km loops arranged in a figure of eight pattern from the basecamp at Windsor Racecourse.
Support throughout the event includes rest stops roughly every 12.5 km with larger facilities every 25 km, offering snacks, drinks and hot food. Medical cover, podiatrists and massage teams are on hand at stops, with GPS tracking available via the event app and the route marked with pink arrows. Participants can enter as runners, joggers or walkers, with additional categories for solo challengers, ultra walkers and ambitious trail runners. The racecourse basecamp provides parking, camping, shuttle buses and a finish-line celebration.
