About Winter Railway Ultra
Runners looking for a winter trail challenge on a historic route will find it along a disused railway corridor near Telford. The Winter Railway Ultra takes place on 20 February 2027 on the former line between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, running alongside the River Severn and passing industrial heritage sites.
Four distances are available: 9 miles, 19 miles, 28 miles and 37 miles, all run as out and back laps on the same trail route. The event is based at The Brewery Inn in Telford, with event headquarters at the old railway line behind The Woodbridge Public House in Coalport. A seven hour cut off applies to all distances.
