Runners seeking a substantial winter challenge through Kent's rural landscape will find their match in this 50 km ultra-trail race. The course follows the North Downs Way from the Kent Showground in Detling to Wye Village Hall, gaining approximately 1,000 m of elevation across trail terrain. Starting through ancient woodland at Boxley Warren, the route climbs onto the North Downs before passing vineyards, historic landmarks including Thurnham Castle ruins, and the Lenham Cross war memorial. The final section loops through Wye Downs Nature Reserve, featuring views across the Weald of Kent.

Three checkpoints punctuate the fully marked route, with a 10-hour cutoff in place. Participants must be at least 20 years old and carry mandatory kit including a mobile phone, waterproof jacket, headtorch and other essentials. The event runs under a Trail Running Association permit and operates a cupless policy. Live GPS tracking, medical support and bag drop services run from start to finish, with a pre-booked shuttle bus returning runners from Wye to Detling on race morning. The race takes place on 20 December 2026.
