About Winter Weavers' 50km / 100km Ultras
The Weavers' Way trail stretches from the Norfolk Broads to Cromer Pier, forming the backbone of this winter ultramarathon challenge. Runners tackle either 50km or 100km across terrain that promises to be wet and muddy in November conditions, testing navigation skills as much as endurance.
The 100km distance starts at 0730 from Great Yarmouth Broadland Rugby Club with a 19-hour time limit. The 50km begins at 1030 from The Poppy Centre in Stalham, allowing 10 hours to finish. Participants should be prepared to navigate using GPX files, as course marking will be limited, and are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the route in advance. Train links serve both Great Yarmouth and Cromer, with coach transfers available between these points for the 50km runners.
Places are strictly limited to 150 runners across both distances. Entrants must be aged 20 or over on race day. The event is licensed by the Association of Running Clubs and held under UK Athletics rules.
