The route starts on Blunts Hall Road and features a gentle climb through the first two miles before turning onto Terling Road. As runners head back towards Witham, the course descends gradually, with the unclosed but quiet roads fully marshalled throughout.
The latter stages see runners pass near the starting point and cross under the railway line a second time before heading into Witham Rugby Club's driveway for the finish. The course follows roads for almost the entire distance, with only the final 50 metres on a track.
