About Yarrow Splash 10K Trail Run
A 10 kilometre trail run through Yarrow Valley in Chorley, the Yarrow Splash takes runners on a single lap circuit in September. The route winds through woodland and alongside the River Yarrow, with several crossings of the water along the way. Autumn colours typically characterise the valley at this time of year.
The Flaming Grill Pub in Chorley serves as the event hub, where participants and their supporters can gather before and after the race. Trail shoes are recommended for the terrain. The event is organised by Trail Blazing Events and described as family-friendly, with a relaxed and well-organised atmosphere.
Finishers receive a custom-designed medal. Prize categories include first, second and third places for male and female runners overall, junior categories, veteran age groups, and team prizes for both men and women. Those winning prizes should be present at the prize giving.
