About Zigzag - Windmill Way Wander
Zigzag's Windmill Way Wander takes place on 16 January 2027 at Suffolk Running Centre in Bury St Edmunds, offering runners a 10 km trail option across the Suffolk countryside. The route follows the Windmill Way and Golding Hills, passing through the villages of Higham, Gazeley, Ashley, Dalham and Denham with rolling terrain totalling around 600 feet of elevation gain. The 10 km distance follows an out-and-back format with a turnaround point at the 5k mark.
The event operates from the running centre as Race HQ, with a seven-hour cut-off in place. Aid stations with drinks and refreshments are positioned approximately every 10 kilometres, alongside a water and aid station at base camp. Runners should bring their own cup or bottle as the event operates cupless. Parking is included with entry.
